What is it about Christian Nationalism that makes people want to hate others? Don’t be scammed by false prophets and their wicked deceivers. Let’s explore.

What is Christian Nationalism?

Christian Nationalism is both contradictory and not at all about Christianity. It also embodies a whole lot of negatives without providing much in the way of positives. On its face, Christian Nationalism might seem like a movement that offers something good, decent and positive. However, this movement offers anything but those ideas. Let’s understand more.

Christianity vs Christian Nationalism

Christianity itself teaches every good Christian tolerance, love, inclusion for all and forgiveness. Christian Nationalism, however, does not. Christian Nationalists believe that you are only a good Christian if you’re white and if you believe that Christianity is the ONLY “true” religion, thus preaching intolerance and hate against anyone who doesn’t fall within this exclusivity system. More than this, Christian Nationalists have also co-opted God and Jesus as Republican. Such political groups didn’t even exist when Jesus lived. Yet, Christian Nationalists believe that you MUST be a Republican to be a Christian Nationalist and you MUST be Republican to be Christian. Again, this exclusive system teaches and preaches hate and intolerance against ANYONE who is not Republican, anyone who is not Republican Christian, who is not White and who does not believe what Christian Nationalists believe. In other words, Christian Nationalists believe that you cannot be Christian unless you believe exactly as Christian Nationalists believe.

It gets worse. Christian Nationalists further believe that you cannot be a Democrat or Libertarian and still be a good Christian. In other words, Christian Nationalists believe that if you are a Democrat, you are not a Christian. Christian Nationalists believe that it is impossible to be a Christian unless you fully drink the Christian Nationalism Kool-Aid, including swallowing whatever latest whacked out conspiracy theory that this demonic nutjob group dreams up.

Christian Nationalism even goes so far as to profess that Jesus was white, depicting a white Jesus on whatever collateral they produce. Christian Nationalism is simply another form of the Ku Klux Klan. Jesus most likely didn’t have white skin. Jesus was born into and lived in a region where olive and dark complected skin tone, brown eyes and dark hair was quite common. We don’t know conclusively Jesus’s skin color, hair color or eye color, though. However, the chances of Jesus having blonde hair, white skin and blue eyes is about as probable as a child being born white in Kenya, Africa. For probability proof, there are 54 million people living in Kenya with approximately 70,000 of those who are of European descent and even fewer of those who could be born white. Probabilities indicate that Jesus most likely had a dark complected skin tone, dark eyes and dark hair. Jesus wasn’t even Christian; he was Jewish.

Actual Christian values do not and have never preached hate, intolerance and exclusion of anyone. Jesus, himself a Jew, believed in teaching love, tolerance and inclusion for all who believe. Jesus believed that regardless of another person’s beliefs, values or actions, he preached to “love thy neighbor”, a tenet of inclusion for anyone and for everyone.

Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” -Matthew 22:37–39

These words are crystal clear and, according to Matthew, were spoken by Jesus himself. There is no race here. There is no politics here. There is no anything of exclusion here. There is only love and inclusion and tolerance. Jesus believed that everyone should profess love over hate and inclusion over intolerance.

Christian Nationalists, however, believe that their view of Christianity is the only view that matters in their narrow view of the world. They further believe that their view of Christianity is defined as a very tight view that only exists if  the person falls into a very specific and narrow group of people, excluding all others as “non believers” or “heretics” or whatever demonizing descriptive word they choose to profess and use towards “outsiders” using labels. Within true Christianity, there are no “outsiders” and there are no “labels”. With Christian Nationalists, there must always be “outsiders” and there must always be “labels”, if for no other reason than to justify exclusion.

Demons and Devils

In fact, this Christian Nationalist situation couldn’t be more opposite and contradictory from true Christianity. By Christian Nationalism taking this very narrow, very hateful, very vengeful, very exclusive view of Christianity, they are by their very nature condoning hate, vengeance, intolerance, exclusion and possibly even condoning violence against others. This is a view that diametrically opposes the views of both Jesus and the word of God. This Christian Nationalism viewpoint is what is now known as a religious extremist viewpoint.

How can a Christian Nationalist even be called a good Christian when they don’t even believe what Jesus and God believed? How can Christian Nationalists be called a good Christian when they don’t believe or uphold the values of what is written in the Christian Bible? They can’t! Again, the Christian Bible does not profess nor condone exclusion, hate, vengeance, idolatry or intolerance in any form. In fact, The Bible preaches just the opposite and condemns any person who partake in these very real sins.

And yet, Christian Nationalists truly believe they speak on behalf of God, even though they are actually perpetuating the word of the Devil by speaking, instead, on behalf of false prophets. What Christian Nationalists believe is tantamount to making themselves and their leaders into false gods.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” -1 John 4:1

Believing in false prophets is to do the bidding of the Devil. When such groups like Christian Nationalists perpetuate and preach to others that only THEY offer the true word of god, they themselves have become false prophets.

Devil in Disguise

What Christian Nationalism professes and what Christian Nationalists believe is what the Devil believes and wants for the world. These so-called Christians are actually professing Satanism in disguise. Instead of putting forth God’s actual word of love and inclusion, Christian Nationalists sardonically believe in intolerance, hate and exclusion.

Many Satanists believe in rebellion against authority because they believe they have been oppressed. This view has been adopted and co-opted amongst Christian Nationalists who also believe they have been oppressed and must rebel against so-called authority. This view is even more solidified because Donald Trump lost his re-election bid and, in so doing, fomented January 6th in retaliation. Christian Nationalists have coalesced around a false conspiracy that the election was stolen; a lie told many, many times by Donald Trump and his cabal.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. -Exodus 20:3

This is the first of ten Biblical Commandments. What this commandment means is that each person must believe in only the one creator God, the Christian God, the God who spoke through Jesus on Earth. This statement also means that as a good Christian, you do not and shall not idolize any other person as though they were a god. Yet, Christian Nationalists idolize Donald Trump is a new Messiah, that his word is more powerful than the word of God. This false belief system within Christian Nationalism is, in fact, defined as Idolatry and violates this very first commandment above. Believing in an Idol as a god over the actual creator God means violating the above first commandment.

When someone believes in Donald Trump’s word over God’s word, then that person cannot be Christian, let alone a Christian Nationalist. For this reason, Christian Nationalism is an oxymoron.

The words Christian and Nationalism cannot appear next to one another because together they are an oxymoron. If someone believes in Nationalism in the way that Christian Nationalists believe, then that is form of extremism condoning hate and intolerance, making that conspiratorial so-called nationalism mutually exclusive of Christianity which fully embraces tolerance, love and inclusion.

Repentance

God and his disciples also believe that all can be forgiven, even for those who choose to worship false idols. Again, Jesus professed love, inclusion and tolerance, not hate, intolerance and exclusion. Christianity isn’t an exclusive club with a membership card that requires special requirements to obtain. Christianity is accepting of all who choose to believe and join. Christianity also believes in absolving those of their sins so long as they are willing to give of themselves freely and fully over to the Lord.

For Christian Nationalists who are neither Christian nor Nationalists, they too can obtain absolution by forsaking their old Christian Nationalist ways and repenting their sins of hate, racism, exclusion and intolerance. Christian Nationalists must give up their false Christian Nationalism beliefs to embrace the love of God.

The apostle Peter exhorts, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

It’s easy to succumb to evil forces. One must choose to overcome these sins and repent.

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity [i.e., hate], strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. -Galatians 5:19-21

Taking the Wrong Path

Christian Nationalism is not a viewpoint any good devout Christian should adopt. This thinking leads one down onto a path of evil and into darkness. It is not something that provides the true goals that any good Christian should adopt.

Christian Nationalism is a “devil” ideology, one that idolizes people as false gods over the creator God. Christian Nationalism also adopts intolerance and hate over love, it adopts exclusion over inclusion and it adopts racism over the love of all man. We are all created equal in the eyes of God and yet Christian Nationalism professes that this equality is not true.

Conclusion

Succumbing to evil forces is easy. Waking up from being coerced into evil is difficult. Christian Nationalism is, at its very core, a wicked, evil movement entity intent on co-opting those among us who are weak willed into its ranks. It’s easy to see how seductive Christian Nationalist hate and intolerance beliefs are. Yet, those beliefs are the work strictly of Evil, not of the forces of Good nor based on the word of God.

It’s easy to see the words “Christian Nationalism” sitting together and believe it means something good. However, as a good Christian, you need to wake up and see exactly how this movement is not based on God’s word nor is it based on good, but instead it is based on the word of one man, a man who believes he is above God, a man who believes he is a god. Donald Trump is not a god. He is a man; a fallible, frail, scared man. He is a man who believes not in the word of God, but in his own word alone. Christian Nationalists need to repent and hold this man up as a false prophet, lest you not inherit the kingdom of God.

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with [i.e., accept and succumb to] it readily enough. -2 Corinthians 11:4

Do not fall prey to seductive false prophets who intend to lure you using honeyed words. Instead, walk away from them AND allow them wallow in their own evil doings. Only then will you truly accept the word of God. You do not have to take part in false prophets nor take part in their evil schemes. Forsake their evil seduction and embrace all that is good instead.
